Gridlines has a built in PDF viewer that lets you create links to sources and extract data faster. Please read more about both cases below.
Highlight anywhere on the PDF (or hold down Alt
on Windows/Option
on Mac and drag)
Click Link
You'll then see a direct link was created. It's also saved in the sidebar under "Highlights"
You can add the link to your spreadsheet/PPT file, and on click it will open you directly to the source (it will open this pdf, and scroll to page 34 in this case, and highlight the number)
Open PDFs in Gridlines to extract the data you need.
Click "Detect figures on this page"
Select the green checkbox that shows up on the top right of the PDF Viewer
Export charts and tables by selecting what you are interested in and then click Export
You'll see an Excel file is exported. We also add the image that was used during the conversion to the spreadsheet so you can easily compare the output, and move on to better things!
